Turquoise fjords and waters in Norway – Beautiful Vestland!

Strynsvatn, Norway

Water from the glaciers in Norway colours the fjords and waters in a beautiful shade of turquoise. You can see it in a lot of various parts of the country but few places can measure up to the area of Vestland and Moere and Romsdal County!

May we suggest a road trip in the surroundings of Stryn, Loen, Geiranger and Stranda?

Majestic mountains and ice cold turquoise water for the bravest to swim in and the rest of us to maybe kayak or access by boat;-)

For families this aera is known for lots of activities for all ages.

Briksdalsbreen glacier is a accessible destination with only a three-kilometre-long gravel road to the glacier in beautiful surroundings. It is even accessible in small open trolleys.

For familys with small children there are good paths for pushing prams in Kjenndalen Valley on the way up to  the Bødalsbreen and Kjenndalsbreen glaciers in Loen.

You can also take the new cable car to the Hoven Mountain(1011 m). Here you can also find a Via Ferrata.

In Sandane and in Nordfjordeid we can offer horse riding trips in the mountains and in the local area on our Norwegian breed Fjordhest.

In stryn you can even go skiing in the middle of the summer at Stryn Summer Ski Centre situated on Strynefjellet mountain, 45 km east of Stryn town centre.

Geirangerfjord, the fjord which leads to Geiranger, is a Unesco World Heritage Site and is referred to as the “jewel in the crown” of the Norwegian fjords. In addition to getting here by bus or car, you can visit Geiranger with the Coastal express Hurtigruten.
